Day 6.
Day 6 at Bikram Yoga - Avondale. The heat really bothered me today. I really pushed myself. Still have problems standing on straight legs. Being a skier, a straight leg means a torn ACL. Good news is I can touch the floor under my toes while standing with straight legs. Amazing how quickly my hamstrings have loosened.
An important note. Make sure you get plenty of sleep before class. Less sleep equals much more work.

Day 5.
Day 5 at Bikram Yoga - Avondale. Hot again today. Saturday morning class. It seems as soon as it get a little bit more comfortable, you find a new way to push yourself. I am sure that is the goal!

Day 4.
Day 4 at Bikram Yoga - Avondale. Much better today. The heat didn't really bother me as much. The instructors are really passionate about you doing every posture to the best of your ability.

Day 3.
Day 3 at Bikram Yoga - Avondale. Today was rough. I was nervous going into the room. The heat really bothered me today. It was just hot. I did manage to touch my forehead to my knees on the last situp. Seems the hamstrings are loosening. Yeah. I plan to do Yoga for ten day in a row.

Day 2.
Day 2 at Bikram Yoga - Avondale. It was not as bad as I thought. The heat took care of the sour muscles. Being hydrated well before class seems to help.

Restart - Day 1.
It was an interesting summer and early fall. Found some clarity, found that I don't even know which questions to ask. The universe provided challenges and delivered some answers. No regrets. I'd do it all over again. Back to work.
I now volunteer at Andre's House Sunday night soupline. How is it to cook for 400 homeless guests? Come join us.
My personal practice has really suffered this summer and fall. Decided I would restart Bikram Yoga. There is a studio in Avondale on Indian School. Today was Day 1. The heat wasn't so bad. I knew my running had a reached a plateau. I kept thinking during class that I was in shape. Hell, I am in shape. Yoga does really work the entire entire body. Some of the postures came back quickly. Good to totally work my body and spirit in the heat surrounded by a “sangha” again.
I'll update the archive this weekend.
